Florida Atlantic University committed $20 million to acquire and install D-Wave\u2019s Advantage2 annealing quantum computer, strengthening regional quantum research capacity.<\/p>\n

The move positions South Florida as an emerging quantum technology hub while supporting D-Wave\u2019s long-term research, workforce development, and commercial operations.<\/p>\n

PRESS RELEASE \u2014 CP Group, an owner-operator of office properties across the Sunbelt,\u00a0along with\u00a0DRA Advisors<\/a>,\u00a0today announced it has signed a landmark lease agreement with D-Wave Quantum Inc. (NYSE: QBTS), the only dual-platform quantum computing company, providing annealing and gate-model systems, software, and services. D-Wave will relocate its global headquarters and establish a major U.S. Research and Development (R&D) facility at the Boca Raton Innovation Campus (BRiC), the historic 1.7-million-square-foot technology hub originally built by IBM.<\/p>\n

The relocation from Palo Alto, California marks a significant milestone for South Florida\u2019s burgeoning tech ecosystem, as D-Wave joins a roster of world-class innovators at BRiC. The move is supported by a separate $20 million commitment from Florida Atlantic University (FAU)\u00a0to purchase and install D-Wave\u2019s Advantage2\u2122 annealing quantum computer on its nearby campus, further solidifying the region\u2019s position as a global leader in quantum research and workforce development.<\/p>\n

The completed renovations delivered\u00a0the tailored infrastructure needed to support D-Wave\u2019s operational needs.
