Cape Coral Friends of Wildlife (CCFW) invites the community to celebrate one of Cape Coral\u2019s most beloved residents at the\u00a024th Annual Burrowing Owl Festival Wildlife and Environmental Expo. This lively, family-friendly event honors the city\u2019s official bird\u2014the burrowing owl\u2014while highlighting the importance of protecting local wildlife and habitats.\n<\/p>\n

The festival takes place on\u00a0Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026, from\u00a010 a.m. to 4 p.m.\u00a0at\u00a0Rotary Park in Cape Coral and offers a full day of wildlife education, hands-on experiences, and fun for all ages.\n<\/p>\n

Event highlights include:\n<\/p>\n

Live animals & wildlife encounters\u00a0\u2013 Get up close with fascinating animals presented by\u00a0Adam\u2019s Animal Adventures, bringing engaging wildlife education to the festival.
\nLocal wildlife bus tours\u00a0\u2013 Ride along to see burrowing owls and other wildlife living right here in Cape Coral.
\nSouthwest Florida Birding Specialty Tour\u00a0\u2013 A guided birding bus tour led by renowned local bird experts David and Tammy McQuade and Eary and Jennifer Warren. Advance ticket purchase required at\u00a0ccfriendsofwildlife.org.
\nRotary Park Butterfly House tours\u00a0\u2013 Explore the park\u2019s beautiful butterfly sanctuary.
\nWildlife & Conservation Expo\u00a0\u2013 Meet representatives from\u00a0over 30 local environmental and conservation organizations.
\nGuest speakers\u00a0\u2013 Enjoy a series of presentations by wildlife and conservation experts covering topics relevant to Southwest Florida.<\/p>\n

A\u00a0$5 donation\u00a0at the entrance is appreciated for guests\u00a0ages 12 and up.\n<\/p>\n

CCFW\u2019s\u00a0Online Auction\u00a0features hundreds of items donated by businesses and organizations from across the U.S. The auction is live now and runs through\u00a0March 1. It\u2019s a great way to support wildlife conservation\u2014even if you can\u2019t attend the festival.
