TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) \u2014 The Southwest Florida Water Management District<\/a> declared a \u201csevere\u201d water shortage for several counties across Tampa Bay on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The order goes into effect on Sunday, Feb. 8 and will stay in place through July 1.<\/p>\n

It applies to all of Citrus, DeSoto, Hardee, Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Sarasota, and Sumter counties; portions of Charlotte, Highlands, and Lake counties; the City of Dunnellon and The Villages in Marion County; and the\u00a0portion\u00a0of Gasparilla Island in Lee County.<\/p>\n

Due to the order, residents around Tampa Bay are restricted to one-day-per-week watering.<\/p>\n

Here is when you are allowed to water, according to county officials.<\/p>\n

Pinellas County<\/p>\n

Pinellas County Utilities customers north of State Road 580<\/p>\n

Addresses ending in even numbers (0, 2, 4, 6, 8): Saturdays<\/p>\n

Addresses ending in odd numbers (1, 3, 5, 7, 9): Wednesdays<\/p>\n

Mixed or no address (such as common areas, entry areas\/office complexes, shopping centers and other \u201cno address\u201d locations): Wednesdays<\/p>\n

Watering using reclaimed water is not permitted between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.<\/p>\n

Watering using potable water is not permitted between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.<\/p>\n

Pinellas County Utilities customers south of State Road 580<\/p>\n

Addresses ending in even numbers (0, 2, 4, 6, 8): Tuesdays<\/p>\n

Addresses ending in odd numbers (1, 3, 5, 7, 9): Thursdays<\/p>\n

Mixed or No Address (such as common areas, entry areas\/office complexes, shopping centers and other \u201cno address\u201d locations): Thursdays<\/p>\n

Watering using either potable or reclaimed water is not permitted between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.<\/p>\n

Manatee County<\/p>\n

Addresses ending in 0 or 1: Monday<\/p>\n

Addresses ending in 2 or 3: Tuesday<\/p>\n

Addresses ending in 4 or 5: Wednesday<\/p>\n

Addresses ending in 6 or 7: Thursday<\/p>\n

Addresses ending in 8 or 9, and locations without a discernible address: Friday<\/p>\n

Unless stricter local hours are in effect:<\/p>\n

Properties under two acres may water only before 8 a.m. or after 6 p.m.<\/p>\n

Properties two acres or larger may water only before 10 a.m. or after 4 p.m.<\/p>\n

Low-volume irrigation (micro-irrigation, soaker hoses, and hand watering) is allowed any day and time.<\/p>\n

Hillsborough County<\/p>\n

Addresses ending in 0 or 1, water only on Monday<\/p>\n

Addresses ending in 2 or 3, water only on Tuesday<\/p>\n

Addresses ending in 4 or 5, water only on Wednesday<\/p>\n

Addresses ending in 6 or 7, water only on Thursday<\/p>\n

Addresses ending in 8 or 9, water only on Friday and locations without a discernible address<\/p>\n

Polk County<\/p>\n

Even address: Thursday or Sunday<\/p>\n

Odd address: Wednesday or Saturday<\/p>\n

* Common areas: Tuesday or Friday<\/p>\n

All other areas:<\/p>\n

If your address (house number) ends in\u2026<\/p>\n

0 or 1, water only on Monday<\/p>\n

2 or 3, water only on Tuesday<\/p>\n

4 or 5, water only on Wednesday<\/p>\n

6 or 7, water only on Thursday<\/p>\n

8 or 9*, water only on Friday<\/p>\n

and locations without a discernible address<\/p>\n
