The first holiday season of Epic Universe<\/a> helped propel fourth-quarter theme-park revenue of Comcast<\/a>, the company reported Thursday.<\/p>\n

Revenue for October-December 2025 was $2.89 billion, an increase of 21.9% over the same period of 2024.\u00a0 The numbers helped bring the Content & Experiences segment \u2014 including the company\u2019s film studios and media businesses \u2014 up 21.9%.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re really pleased with what we\u2019re seeing from Epic which continues to drive higher per-cap spending and attendance across the entirety of the resort while we are not yet operating at full run-rate capacity,\u201d said Jason Armstrong, chief financial officer, in a conference call with market analysts after the earnings report was released. The theme park debuted in May<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have made meaningful progress expanding ride throughput, and we remain focused on scaling further over the next several quarters with higher attendance, stronger per-caps and additional operating leverage over time,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

New Universal Studios coaster will be Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift<\/a><\/p>\n

Epic\u2019s year was \u201cphenomenal,\u201d said Brian Roberts, Comcast\u2019s CEO.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think the plans continue to be invest behind that park in the fullness of time,\u201d he said. \u201cBut I think this year is the year where we continue to drive the original agenda, which is to fill up our hotels.\u201d Universal Orlando\u2019s hotel occupancy is up 3% and the average daily room rate is up 20%, he said.<\/p>\n

Attendance and revenue at individual theme parks were not reported. The opening and performance of Horror Unleashed<\/a>, the year-round haunt in Las Vegas, was not mentioned.<\/p>\n

Looking at the attractions segment in 2026, Roberts pointed to the opening of a kids park in Frisco, Texas, the Fast and Furious roller coaster<\/a> debuting at Universal Studios Hollywood and the groundbreaking for a theme park in England.<\/p>\n

Overall performance for Comcast, which also has broadband, media and film studios businesses, was $32.31 billion in the fourth quarter, up 1.2%. For the full year, company revenue was $123.71 billion, down from $123.73 billion in 2024.<\/p>\n

Theatrical releases were down 20.2% for the quarter as \u201cWicked: For Good\u201d<\/a> and \u201cBlack Phone 2\u201d<\/a> were outperformed by the first installment of \u201cWicked\u201d and \u201cThe Wild Robot\u201d of 2024. Roberts touted the upcoming 2026 films, including \u201cOdyssey,\u201d \u201cDisclosure\u201d directed by Steven Spielberg, \u201cThe Super Mario Galaxy Movie\u201d and \u201cMinions 3.\u201d<\/p>\n

Also coming up are the Super Bowl, Winter Olympics and NBA All-Star Game, which will all be seen on Comcast-owned NBC<\/a> and Peacock<\/a> platforms.<\/p>\n
