(WCTV) &#8211; The Leon County Sheriff\u2019s Office is investigating after a shooting allegedly occurred on Ballard Road early Thursday morning, according to the sheriff\u2019s office. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The shooting reportedly took place around 3:30 a.m. in the 3600 block of Ballard Road, an LCSO spokesperson confirmed to WCTV late Thursday morning. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Authorities received a call about the incident just before 8 a.m., per the spokesperson.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">In a social media post just before 11 a.m., the sheriff\u2019s office announced that the investigation was underway in that area and that there was no threat to the public.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Shortly after, the spokesperson confirmed to WCTV that the victim is alive and was transported to a hospital.
