{"id":136769,"date":"2026-01-29T21:18:09","date_gmt":"2026-01-29T21:18:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/136769\/"},"modified":"2026-01-29T21:18:09","modified_gmt":"2026-01-29T21:18:09","slug":"womens-medical-practice-moving-into-new-bigger-cape-coral-facility-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/136769\/","title":{"rendered":"Women&#8217;s medical practice moving into new, bigger Cape Coral facility"},"content":{"rendered":"<p id=\"h900064-p1\" class=\"permalinkable\">Premier Women\u2019s Care of Southwest Florida is opening a 40,797-square-foot medical office building in Cape Coral next week \u2014 moving out of a space it occupied for about 30 years<\/p>\n<p id=\"h900064-p2\" class=\"permalinkable\">The women\u2019s health care practice\u2019s new medical center will be at 1606 Santa Barbara Blvd. and replaces the existing one in the city.<\/p>\n<p id=\"h900064-p3\" class=\"permalinkable\">The new center opens Tuesday, Feb. 3. The current one, on Viscaya Parkway, will close permanently Jan. 30. Two Fort Myers offices \u2014 on Port Royal Boulevard and in The Forum \u2014 will continue operating.<\/p>\n<p id=\"h900064-p4\" class=\"permalinkable\">Premier Women\u2019s Care new facility, which sits on 2.27 acres, will allow the practice to expand and enhance its services in Cape Coral, according to a statement.<\/p>\n<p id=\"h900064-p5\" class=\"permalinkable\">The new building will feature three ultrasound suites, 3D mammography with changing rooms, offices, an elevator and covered parking. The second floor will house exam and procedure rooms, phlebotomy, consultation rooms, offices, storage and a breakroom.<\/p>\n<p id=\"h900064-p6\" class=\"permalinkable\">There is an additional 3,000 square feet of office space available for lease, according to the statement.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p id=\"h900064-p7\" class=\"permalinkable\">The facility will have 37 exam rooms and three procedure rooms which \u201cwill enable us to hire more women\u2019s health providers, so we will have more available appointments \u2014 including same-day appointments,\u201d Dr. Shannon O\u2019Hara, a physician with the practices, says in the statement\u00a0<\/p>\n<p id=\"h900064-p8\" class=\"permalinkable\">The Cape Coral office, a spokesperson says, currently has nine ob-gyns, one urogynecologist, five certified nurse midwives and three physician assistants. Overall, the practice has 30 providers, &#8220;with more on the way soon.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p id=\"h900064-p9\" class=\"permalinkable\">The new space will be more than twice as large as the 13,000-square-foot Viscaya Parkway office, which had been the practice\u2019s home going back to when the founding physicians of Premier Women\u2019s Care were part of Physicians\u2019 Primary Care.
