Stat.<\/p>\n<p>A doctor in Florida was arrested after she allegedly tried to steal nearly $3,000 worth of merchandise at a Target store \u2014 and was caught driving a stolen luxury car.<\/p>\n<p>Lindsey Jae Minshew, 40, allegedly \u201cstole $2,716.61 worth of merchandise\u201d during a shoplifting spree at Target store in Jacksonville, Florida, on Jan. 16, according to online records from the Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.50146628;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"38328509\" width=\"886\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/minshew-mug-2.jpg\" alt=\"Mugshot of a woman with short, bleached blonde hair, prominent dark eyebrows, and red lipstick, looking directly at the viewer.\" class=\"wp-image-38328509\"  \/>Lindsey Jae Minshew, 40, was arrested after she allegedly stole upwards of $2,000 in merchandise at a Target store. Jacksonville Sheriff&#8217;s Office<\/p>\n<p>Minshew is a practicing medical doctor who completed her residency at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in 2017. She\u2019s worked in Florida since 2012, but holds a secondary license in Pennsylvania, both of which expire in January 2027, according to records from the <a href=\"https:\/\/mqa-internet.doh.state.fl.us\/MQASearchServices\/HealthCareProviders\/PractitionerProfilePrintFriendly?LicInd=114640&amp;ProCde=1501\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-nyp-affiliate=\"true\">Florida Department of Health<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>The well-meaning Target employee who reported Minshew\u2019s alleged theft did not specify which items were taken, how many or how she got out of the store with that value of merchandise. <\/p>\n<p>Police said that Minshew pulled a black 2024 Porsche 911 \u2014 which costs upwards of $130,000 \u2014 into the Target parking lot 30 minutes before she entered the store.<\/p>\n<p>Her flashy vehicle, though, was apparently also stolen, according to the report. <\/p>\n<p>When Minshew was booked on Jan. 23, she rolled into the station with a full face of makeup \u2014 complete with filled-in eyebrows and bold pink lipstick. Officials didn\u2019t say if she will face charges related to the stolen car.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s unclear if Minshew\u2019s illicit retail therapy will have any impact on the validity of her medical license.<\/p>\n<p>Just one state away, a Georgia elementary school assistant principal was accused of brazenly stealing 98 items worth about $1,000 from Walmart <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/01\/29\/us-news\/courtney-shaw-accused-of-swiping-98-items-from-walmart-in-self-checkout-scheme\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">using a \u201cstacking\u201d scheme<\/a> at self-checkout kiosks.<\/p>\n<p>Self-checkout kiosks at superstores rely on a flimsy security camera \u2014 and their eagle-eyed employees \u2014 to make sure each customer is paying for every item.<\/p>\n<p>Courtney Janell Shaw, 47, allegedly placed multiple items on top of each other, but only scanned the one at the bottom before placing it all in her bag. <\/p>\n<p>The trick apparently fooled the camera on multiple occasions, and Shaw allegedly bilked $943.97 in partially-paid merchandise between November and December. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"She needs a lawyer.
