ZONTA CLUB OF SANIBEL-CAPTIVA
\nRepresentatives from the 14 local nonprofit organizations that received grant funds from the Zonta Club of Sanibel-Captiva and Zonta Foundation of Southwest Florida.<\/p>\n
The Zonta Club of Sanibel-Captiva and Zonta Foundation of Southwest Florida awarded grants totaling $87,000 to 14 local nonprofit organizations dedicated to the empowerment of women and girls.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe know that many wonderful organizations are doing amazing work to promote the welfare of women and girls, and Zonta is pleased to recognize and support this work,\u201d Grants Committee Co-chair Kathleen Skubikowski said.<\/p>\n
The 2026 recipient organizations are: Abuse Counseling and Treatment (ACT), After the Rain of Southwest Florida, Community Housing & Resources, Dr. Piper Center for Social Services, Dress for Success, FISH of Sanibel-Captiva, Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida, Habitat for Humanity\u2019s Women Build campaign, Healing Stitches\u2019 \u201cKnow Your Rights\u201d project, Our Mother\u2019s Home of Southwest Florida, Pace Center for Girls, Premier Mobile Health Services, Sanibel Sea School, and Women Veteran Warriors.<\/p>\n
The funded projects focus on training, education and affordable housing, factors that will support women as they strive to create fulfilling lives reflecting their rights as individuals.<\/p>\n
\u201cThrough these grants, Zonta hopes to empower impactful programs and initiatives that create lasting change and a brighter future for those who need it most,\u201d Co-chair Joanne Marriott said.<\/p>\n
