While there are a few \u2018hair of the dog\u2019 remedies that might help soothe your hangover, there\u2019s nothing quite like a hearty breakfast to aid in the post-Gasparilla recovery.<\/p>\n

Regularly voted as one of the best breakfast restaurants in Tampa, Trip\u2019s Diner<\/a> is a local favorite. Its American homestyle breakfast is the perfect thing to get your spirits up after a long day of parading. Trip\u2019s offers all-day breakfast, so even if you roll out of bed at 2 pm, you\u2019ll still have plenty of time to get yourself some pancakes and grits.<\/p>\n

Next up is a personal favorite of mine (maybe because it\u2019s close to where I live in South Tampa). Himes Breakfast House<\/a> is located on 3826 South Himes Avenue, and serves some of the best breakfast food in town. At Himes, you can stay hydrated with refillable coffee, orange juice, a delicious cold brew, and \u2013 if you\u2019re truly looking for a hair-of-the-dog cure \u2013 mimosas. Himes whips up a number of belly-rubbing breakfast options, but my favorite is the Jessie Bowl: two eggs over a large bowl of Jessie\u2019s famous loaded grits with toast or biscuit.<\/p>\n

This family-owned restaurant has been in Tampa for over 15 years, delivering food that makes you feel right at home. Try one of Mama\u2019s delectable specialties, like their conveniently-named Hangover Plate: a four-egg omelet with sausage, American cheese, a side of half biscuits & gravy, and choice of home fries, grits or hashbrowns.<\/p>\n
