Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church on Sanibel reported that the 2025 proceeds from its Noah\u2019s Ark Thrift Shop were awarded in grants totaling $205,000 to 16 local charitable organizations.<\/p>\n

The funding was distributed to nonprofit organizations identified through an application process submitted to the church\u2019s Grants Committee. The committee is part of the Episcopal Church Women (ECW), which started the thrift store over 60 years ago.<\/p>\n

\u201cMany don\u2019t realize that proceeds from sales at Noah\u2019s Ark Thrift Shop do not go towards St. Michael\u2019s operations. It is given away to support the wider community through these annual grants,\u201d the church shared. \u201cThe Grants Committee\u2019s mission is to allocate Noah\u2019s Ark proceeds to reflect God\u2019s inclusive love for all people, with a particular focus on those who are hungry, unhoused and marginalized.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 2025 grant recipients are: Abuse Counseling and Treatment (ACT), All Souls Episcopal Church Outreach, Children\u2019s Advocacy Center, Community Cooperative, ECHO, Gladiolus Food Pantry, Habitat for Humanity, Immokalee Fair Housing, Lee Interfaith for Empowerment (LIFE), Lighthouse of SWFL, Literacy Council, Misi\u00f3n Peniel, PACE Center for Girls, Partners for Breast Cancer, Pine Manor Improvement Association, and South Fort Myers Food Pantry.<\/p>\n

The committee and thrift store thanked the customers, volunteers and donors who made this possible.<\/p>\n

Over the past 60 years, more than $6 million has been granted to nonprofits from the proceeds.<\/p>\n
