Want to party big time and help kids who really need it? Then you\u2019re ready for Moonrise.<\/p>\n
Michael Wild: \u201cAnd it\u2019s an event unlike any other. Most nonprofit events are viewed as galas where you put on tuxedos and listen to someone talk for 90 minutes while you\u2019re eating dry steak. This is nothing like that.\u201d<\/p>\n
Here\u2019s a hint at what\u2019s waiting for you at the fourth annual Moonrise.<\/p>\n
Michael Wild: \u201cThis is on the beach. This is under a giant tent, feet in the sand, drink in hand.\u201d<\/p>\n
The event comes courtesy of Handy, a nonprofit organization.<\/p>\n
Michael Wild: \u201cHandy stands for helping advance and nurture the development of youth.\u201d<\/p>\n
You\u2019ll be flying this time around.<\/p>\n
Michael Wild: \u201cAnd this year\u2019s theme of space rodeo, or as I like to call it, intergalactic cowboy.\u201d<\/p>\n
Here\u2019s one of the evening\u2019s potential looks.<\/p>\n
Michael Wild: \u201cSome people are gonna be coming, wearing cowboy hats and star sunglasses. Some people will be wearing shiny pants and astronaut helmets. Some people might have assless chaps, we don\u2019t even know.\u201d<\/p>\n
What we do know is this: once you get to the tent, it\u2019s game on.<\/p>\n
Michael Wild: \u201cThere are dancers, there are DJs, there are bars, there\u2019s food and you\u2019ll find some of Fort Lauderdale\u2019s most influential people there.\u201d<\/p>\n
Even when you\u2019re feeling no pain, you can give something back.<\/p>\n
Michael Wild: \u201cThere\u2019s going to be a silent auction with amazing gifts and sponsorship opportunities for the kids themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n

The event takes place at the Bonnet House Museum & Gardens private beach in Fort Lauderdale, Saturday Feb. 7 at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n
