Monsignor Pace<\/a> has gone a perfect 3-0 against Westland Hialeah<\/a> recently and they’ll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Spartans just played last yesterday, but they’ll still welcome the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Monsignor Pace has given up an average of 61.4 points per game this season, but Saturday’s game will give them a chance to turn things around.<\/p>\n Monsignor Pace is likely headed into the game with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Atlantic on Friday. The Spartans took a 67-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can’t take it too hard given the team’s big disadvantage in MaxPreps’ Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 373rd, while the Eagles are ranked 166th).<\/p>\n Despite their defeat, Monsignor Pace saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Andres Lopez<\/a>, who posted 16 points and three steals, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Teagan Jordan<\/a>, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 15 boards.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Westland Hialeah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were dealt a 70-19 defeat at the hands of Hialeah.<\/p>\n Westland Hialeah’s loss dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Monsignor Pace, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-15.<\/p>\n Everything went Monsignor Pace’s way against Westland Hialeah in their previous matchup back in February of 2025, as Monsignor Pace made off with a 73-50 win.
