The CBAC is a non-partisan board that advises the Mayor and City Council on matters related to the City&#8217;s Community Benefits Program. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The City&#8217;s Community Benefits Program requires developers to provide community benefits for projects that include City participation. Benefits may include activities in the following areas: affordable housing, environmental resiliency and sustainability, public infrastructure, equitable workforce development, equitable economic opportunities, and neighborhood health and safety.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications &amp; Requirements<\/p>\n<p>The CBAC currently consists of four Standing Members: two appointed by the Mayor and two by the City Council. Each Standing Member must be from a different City Council District.<\/p>\n<p>The City Council is seeking applications from residents of the following City Council Districts: 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, or 8. Mayoral appointments currently represent districts 3 and 5.\u00a0Interested residents can reference\u00a0<a rel=\"noopener nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/egis.stpete.org\/portal\/apps\/webappviewer\/index.html?id=0528848a78f647e3bc4fb9cbde1b5d01&amp;showlayers=Click%20for%20Map%20Layers%3BCity%20Boundaries%20(Click%20to%20Expand)%3BCouncil%20Districts\" target=\"_blank\">this map<\/a>\u00a0to determine their City Council District.<\/p>\n<p>Standing Members serve no more than two three-year terms.<\/p>\n<p>Standing Members are required to file a <a class=\"ProsemirrorEditor-link\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/ethics.state.fl.us\/documents\/FinancialDisclosure\/SampleForm12025.pdf?cp=2026122\" target=\"_blank\">Form 1 &#8211; Statement of Financial Interests<\/a> annually. Additionally, when serving on a project-specific committee, members will be required to attest that they have no financial or other conflict of interest with the project under review.<\/p>\n<p>CBAC Standing Member Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>The CBAC Standing Member responsibilities include:<\/p>\n<p>Advising the City on matters related to the Community Benefits Program, including measuring community impact, neighborhood engagement, and specific project eligibility<br \/>\nParticipating in meetings with affected neighborhood(s) to solicit public input<br \/>\nMaking recommendations on Term Sheets and Development Agreements<br \/>\nServe on project committee(s), convened on a project-by-project basis, which will include at least four meetings when reviewing a project, twice in the neighborhood(s) most affected by the project to hear community input, and twice to recommend preliminary and final community benefits packages to City Council<\/p>\n<p>How to Apply<\/p>\n<p>Applications will be accepted from February 1 through February 28. The meeting begins at 1:30 p.m. in Conference Room 100 at City Hall (175 5th St. N).
