GLOBE, AZ (AZFamily) \u2014 A group of volunteers fanned out in the Miami-Globe area Saturday, turning over rocks and knocking on doors, searching for any sign of 21-year-old Isabella Comas. <\/p>\n
She has been missing for nearly three weeks<\/a> from Avondale. <\/p>\n The family\u2019s private investigator, Chris Castorena, organized the search in the area he says was the last place there was any trace of her<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cWe have no idea where she\u2019s at,\u201d Castorena said. \u201cThe main thing is that we find Isabella. Due to an LPR, license plate reader, it showed it was here.\u201d<\/p>\n Police performed a separate search last week, and those steps yielded no results.<\/p>\n \u201cWe have friends, family, volunteers of the community,\u201d Castorena said, now taking their own steps. \u201cThe family is overwhelmed with grief. They miss her very much. They say she is a loving daughter and a good friend to everyone, so this is a shock.\u201d<\/p>\n For some, like Gabe Hernandez, today\u2019s steps are personal.<\/p>\n \u201cWe knew Isabella. She had come over for Thanksgiving. We\u2019ve taken her on the family trip. She was my daughter\u2019s best friend in high school,\u201d Hernandez said.<\/p>\n He, alongside his family, headed into the mountains, hiking through steep terrain overlooking Globe and Miami. They had help from his dog, Luna, to try to pick up on Comas\u2019 scent.<\/p>\n \u201cThat phone must have pinged out here somewhere,\u201d Hernandez said.<\/p>\n RELATED: Person of interest linked to disappearance of Avondale woman facing charges<\/a><\/p>\n Teams used side-by-sides and four-wheelers to get to the hardest parts of the desert. <\/p>\n It\u2019s the lengths you go, keeping faith with each step for those you love.<\/p>\n \u201cShe was always telling my girls, \u2018I appreciate your mom and dad,\u2019\u201d Hernandez said. \u201cIf it takes all day, it takes all day. I have all day.\u201d<\/p>\n While teams didn\u2019t find Comas today, they are holding on to hope.
