(<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wsfa.com\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"http:\/\/www.wsfa.com\">WSFA<\/a>) &#8211; Renowned actor and comedian Orlando Jones will serve as keynote speaker for Alabama State University\u2019s 2026 Founders\u2019 Day Ceremony on Feb. 6.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"Orlando Jones to Speak at Alabama State University\u2019s 2026 Founders\u2019 Day Ceremony\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/ZIPMI7IXQVHIRLOXX2BMUHGNLM.jpeg\" width=\"980\" height=\"653\" \/>Orlando Jones to Speak at Alabama State University\u2019s 2026 Founders\u2019 Day Ceremony(Source: Alabama State University Communications)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The event is held to honor the university\u2019s nine founding members, known as the Marion Nine, who established the school on July 18, 1867, in Marion, Alabama.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Jones has worked in television, film, and digital media for more than 30 years. He was a founding cast member of \u2018MAD TV\u2019 and has done voice work in animation including \u2018King of the Hill.\u2019 He\u2019s also appeared in shows including \u2018Abbott Elementary\u2019 and \u2018Swagger.\u2019<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">ASU said in a release that Jones\u2019s career \u201creflects the spirit of determination and change celebrated by Alabama State University\u2019s founders.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Founders\u2019 Day activities begin at 9 a.m. with a bell-ringing ceremony in front of the Levi Watkins Learning Center, followed by the main program in the Dunn-Oliver Acadome at 10 a.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Not reading this story on the WSFA News App?
