TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Tallahassee\u2019s Kearney Center helped nearly 500 people over the last week as cold arctic air sank into the deep south.<\/p>\n
According to numbers released to WCTV, the Kearney Center sheltered 476 individuals since January 26 and served around 700 meals to those in need.<\/p>\n
Below is a list provided by the Kearney Center that shows how many people took advantage of their services compared to overnight lows in Tallahassee:<\/p>\n

The center\u2019s Chief Executive Officer, Sonya Wilson, told WCTV that every person who stayed the night \u201creceived personal hygiene kits, warm clothing, shoes, fresh linens, blankets, and pillows.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are deeply grateful to our community for the generous donations we received during this time. Every dollar and every donated item helped us meet the needs of our most vulnerable neighbors,\u201d said Wilson.<\/p>\n
