The city of Tampa told 10 Tampa Bay News that the pier was open at the time when the segment between two pylons fell into the water. The pier is located at Picnic Island Park in the Port Tampa neighborhood.<\/p>\n<p>Fortunately, no one was hurt or trapped on the pier after the collapse.
