ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. \u2013 A bomb threat was left on an Orange County church and daycare\u2019s voicemail, though it was later determined to be unfounded, church officials said on social media.<\/a><\/p>\n

Officials from the Conway Christian Academy and Conway Learning Centers reported receiving a voicemail around 5 p.m. that referenced an explosive device at the Sanctuary Church Worship Center building. The message was immediately reported to the Orange County Sheriff\u2019s Office, and the building was evacuated as staff initiated an expedited dismissal for students, teachers and employees.<\/p>\n

Deputies confirmed they responded to the church around 5:30 p.m. to the church located at 2719 Conway Gardens Road where they \u201cconducted a sweep of the church, and nothing suspicious was found.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to church leadership, the sheriff\u2019s office conducted a full sweep of the Worship Center and surrounding church property, but no explosive devices or suspicious materials were found, and deputies cleared the campus for normal operations.<\/p>\n

Church officials said emergency procedures were followed as designed and emphasized that no one was ever in physical danger.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe safety of our students and staff remains our highest priority. While this was a distressing event, our emergency procedures were followed precisely, and at no point was anyone in physical danger,\u201d the church said in their statement.<\/p>\n
