The Fury secured the second and fourth sets 25-16 and 25-2, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>The first set saw a great start from the Valkyries. The team secured a lede through the first six points, 5-1, which led to the Fury&#8217;s first timeout. The back-and-forth game prevailed\u00a0until opposite hitter <a href=\"https:\/\/provolleyball.com\/teams\/orlando-valkyries\/roster\/2026-orlando-roster\/players\/brittany-abercrombie\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Brittany Abercrombie<\/a>\u00a0closed the set with a kill.<\/p>\n<p>The Fury saw a momentum gain in the second set after a favorable challenge that put them ahead 9-3, allowing Columbus to keep its distance and close out the set, 25-16. Outside hitter <a href=\"https:\/\/provolleyball.com\/teams\/columbus-fury\/roster\/2026-columbus-fury-roster\/players\/raina-terry\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Raina Terry<\/a> had a powerful\u00a0set for the Fury with nine points, six kills, two digs\u00a0and two blocks.<\/p>\n<p>The Valkyries gained an early lead, 9-3, in the third set that forced the Fury to call their first timeout. Their second timeout came after a 13-4 difference in favor of the away team. The game continued with the Valkyries\u00a0in front, closing the set 25-13 after an opponent&#8217;s error.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The fourth set\u00a0continued with a momentum swing for both teams. It was the closest set of all five. Middle blocker <a href=\"https:\/\/provolleyball.com\/teams\/columbus-fury\/roster\/2026-columbus-fury-roster\/players\/regan-pittman\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Regan Pittman-Nelson<\/a>\u00a0registered six points, four kills, one dig\u00a0and one block in the 25-21.<\/p>\n<p>The fifth set close\u00a0battles favored opposite hitter\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/provolleyball.com\/teams\/orlando-valkyries\/roster\/2026-orlando-roster\/players\/charitie-luper\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Charitie Luper<\/a>, who registered a career high of 24 kills to help the Valkyries win the game.
