{"id":14253,"date":"2025-10-21T17:36:07","date_gmt":"2025-10-21T17:36:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/14253\/"},"modified":"2025-10-21T17:36:07","modified_gmt":"2025-10-21T17:36:07","slug":"man-rams-two-cars-patrol-vehicle-near-the-clubhouse-at-kitterman-woods-on-oct-20-st-lucie-county","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/14253\/","title":{"rendered":"Man rams two cars, patrol vehicle near the Clubhouse at Kitterman Woods on Oct. 20 | St. Lucie County"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>FORT PIERCE \u2013 A man who rammed his car into a St. Lucie County Sheriff\u2019s Office deputy\u2019s patrol car was arrested after he also rammed two other vehicles in the same parking lot on Oct. 20, according to sheriff\u2019s reports.<\/p>\n<p>Reubenson Charles, 27, faces three counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon; three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon; two counts of fleeing and eluding; two counts of felony driving without a license; and violation of probation out of Martin County.<\/p>\n<p>At about 1:35 p.m., Oct. 20, deputies located an occupied black Mercedes-Benz parked near the Clubhouse at Kitterman Woods. This vehicle had been previously documented as having fled from SLCSO deputies in an incident a week ago, according to sheriff\u2019s reports.<\/p>\n<p>When Charles saw the officers, he accelerated and intentionally rammed two vehicles while attempting to flee through the parking lot, according to sheriff\u2019s office reports. Deputies initiated a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) maneuver to stop the vehicle.
