Trump must perish\u201d: Cape Coral man federally sentenced for threatening to kill president | Lee County"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\">FORT MYERS, Fla.\u2014A Cape Coral man has been sentenced to 27 months in federal prison for making several assassination threats towards the President of the United States.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.winknews.com\/news\/lee\/cape-coral-man-arrested-for-threatening-to-kill-president\/article_f760edd1-ee9a-4457-bdfd-9dd4f0406602.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Christopher Davies<\/a>, 32, was sentenced on Tuesday after pleading guilty to his charges on October 29, 2025.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">According to the Department of Justice, Davies wrote a letter to an official at the Charlotte Correctional Institution stating that he had \u201corchestrated the most daring Presidential assassination that this country has ever seen,\u201d and that \u201cDonald J.
