JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2013 A man was shot Tuesday night after a hit-and-run incident near St. Johns Bluff Road, south of Atlantic Boulevard, the Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office said.<\/p>\n

Police were called around 9 p.m. to the report of a shooting in the area and found the man suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen.<\/p>\n

He was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n

Investigators said they learned that the victim and the suspected shooter had been involved in a hit-and-run incident, and the victim followed the suspect.<\/p>\n

At some point, JSO said, the suspect stopped, opened fire on the victim\u2019s vehicle, and sped away. <\/p>\n

Crime scene detectives are processing the scene, and detectives are canvassing the area for surveillance and witnesses.<\/p>\n
