(WCTV) &#8211; The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is warning people about an AMBER Alert scam that is asking for children\u2019s information. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">According to the FDLE, scammers will call people and say they are with AMBER Alert. They will ask for children\u2019s information and try to schedule an \u201cAMBER kit appointment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The law enforcement agency encourages people who may receive these calls to hang up, never provide personal information and to contact their local law enforcement agency. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cNo legitimate program pre-registers children for AMBER Alerts, collects information ahead of time, or schedules home visits.
