(WCTV\/Gray Florida Capital Bureau) &#8211; Elementary students across Florida could soon be required to learn to write and read in cursive.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The House unanimously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flhouse.gov\/Sections\/Bills\/billsdetail.aspx?BillId=82651&amp;SessionId=113\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.flhouse.gov\/Sections\/Bills\/billsdetail.aspx?BillId=82651&amp;SessionId=113\">passed a bill <\/a>requiring students to be proficient in cursive. It requires cursive instruction for students in grades 2 through 5.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-center article-text\">More Florida politics:<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Fifth graders would be required to pass a test showing they can read and write in cursive.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The bill now goes to the Senate for consideration.
