The Jensen Beach Falcons<\/a> will take on the Port St. Lucie Jaguars<\/a> at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.<\/p>\n

If Jensen Beach beats Port St. Lucie with 66 points on Thursday, it’s going to be the team’s new lucky number: they’ve won their past two games with that exact score. The Falcons were the clear victors by a 66-46 margin over Central on Friday. The game was the first time the Falcons have beaten the Cobras on their court since November 23, 2020.<\/p>\n

Tavareon Newson<\/a> produced another solid effort putting up 18 points in addition to six assists and four steals. Charles Alexander<\/a> was another key player, as he made all 5 shots he took to post 12 points and six rebounds.<\/p>\n

They weren’t the only ones working in the assist department: Jensen Beach was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That’s the most assists they’ve posted since back in December of 2025.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Port St. Lucie entered their tilt with Okeechobee on Tuesday with six consecutive wins but they’ll enter their next game with seven. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 72-30 win over the Brahmans. With the Jaguars ahead 38-14 at the half, the contest was all but over already.<\/p>\n

Port St. Lucie found their leader in sophomore Bryan Desgrottes<\/a>, who dropped a double-double with 35 points and 14 boards. Desgrottes has become a key player for the Jaguars: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 25 points, but 10-11 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Alijah Baez<\/a>, who went 6-for-12 to rack up 15 points along with five assists and five steals.<\/p>\n

Jensen Beach’s victory bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Port St. Lucie, their win bumped their record up to 15-11.<\/p>\n

Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as the two teams are some of the highest-scoring teams around. Jensen Beach hasn’t had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 57.6 points per game. However, it’s not like Port St. Lucie struggles in that department as they’ve been averaging 57.4 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can put up more.<\/p>\n
