Downtown Cape Coral is undergoing a transformation with the grand opening of Bimini Square. This new development aims to redefine how people live, work and play in the city center.<\/p>\n
The ribbon-cutting ceremony took place at Bimini Square, drawing in neighbors, city leaders and developers to celebrate this new chapter for Cape Coral.<\/p>\n
“We are definitely revitalizing the downtown Cape Coral area,” said Cape Coral Mayor John Gunter.<\/p>\n
Bimini Square is a mixed-use development featuring more than 200 apartment units, restaurants like Bimini Basin and accessible health care facilities such as Lee Health.<\/p>\n
“This is exactly what you want,” said Gunter. “You want to be able to, you know, work, play and live right in this area.”<\/p>\n
The complex offers luxury apartments, a pool, a fitness center and riverfront views, contributing to the evolving downtown skyline.<\/p>\n
“It’s growing. It’s a popular place, so you have to manage it. You can’t stop people from wanting to live here, right?” said Larry Nygard, the project developer.<\/p>\n
Residents see the development as a sign of opportunity and change in Cape Coral.<\/p>\n
“There’s more potential. There’s more future. It’s promising, but it also just a step in the right direction for what Southwest Florida needs,” said Bimini Square resident Anthony Churlin.<\/p>\n
