With a playoff win on the line, St. Petersburg<\/a> rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They breezed past the Northeast Vikings<\/a> to the tune of 84-55. The Green Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 20 points or more this season.<\/p>\n St. Petersburg was led to victory by Shaw Summer<\/a> and Quay Curry<\/a>. Summer dropped a double-double with 27 points and 12 rebounds, while Curry shot 75% from the field en route to 20 points in addition to eight boards and five assists. Thanks to that strong game, Summer now owns an excellent 45.6% field goal percentage. Another player making a difference was Lily Eastman<\/a>, who posted six points.<\/p>\n They weren’t the only ones working in the assist department: St. Petersburg was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. They are 17-3 when they’ve passed the ball that well.<\/p>\n Northeast’s defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaidon Jones<\/a>, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Mackenzie Tucker<\/a> was another key player, putting up 15 points in addition to six boards and five assists.<\/p>\n St. Petersburg has been performing well recently as they’ve won six of their last eight matchups. That’s provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points over those games. As for Northeast, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-11 record.<\/p>\n As of now, neither St. Petersburg nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.<\/p>\n
