{"id":149983,"date":"2026-02-10T10:15:13","date_gmt":"2026-02-10T10:15:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/149983\/"},"modified":"2026-02-10T10:15:13","modified_gmt":"2026-02-10T10:15:13","slug":"jacksonville-man-faces-new-threats-charge-after-alleged-probation-office-shooting-threat","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/149983\/","title":{"rendered":"Jacksonville man faces new threats charge after alleged probation office shooting threat"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Jacksonville man is facing new charges after warrants state he made violent threats against probation officers.<\/p>\n<p>Online court records show 25-year-old Ryan Steven Lewis of Jacksonville, was charged on Monday, Feb. 9 with communicating threats.<\/p>\n<p>According to warrants, Lewis allegedly threatened to harm everyone inside a probation office. Investigators say the threats were made directly to two probation officers.<\/p>\n<p>Warrants state Lewis allegedly said, \u201cWhen I get out of jail, I\u2019m going to come back and shoot this place up and kill everybody in the building.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Lewis received a secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 23, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>This is not Lewis\u2019 first arrest in recent weeks.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wcti12.com\/news\/local\/warrants-jacksonville-man-arrested-on-threats-resisting-officer-charges\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">He was previously arrested on Jan. 19 by the Onslow County Sheriff\u2019s Office on two counts of communicating threats and one count of resisting a public officer.<\/a> Those charges are connected to an incident that reportedly happened on Dec. 21, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>In that case, Lewis allegedly threatened to harm a woman and made additional threats toward two deputies, telling them he would kill them after being released from jail.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A Jacksonville man is facing new charges after warrants state he made violent threats against probation officers.
