Two adults, two children and two dogs were displaced after a Feb. 4 house fire in Port St. Lucie, according to St. Lucie County Fire District officials.<\/p>\n
Fire crews responded to a call for a residential structure fire about 8 a.m. in the 100 block of Southeast Crosspoint Drive, said Division Chief Daniel Mikels. It’s located south of Crosstown Parkway and east of Airoso Boulevard.<\/p>\n
Weather: Treasure Coast temperatures warming after historic cold outbreak<\/a><\/p>\n Damaged plants: Here’s what to do with plants damaged in yards after freeze in Florida<\/a><\/p>\n They arrived and found heavy smoke and fire coming from a single-story home, Mikels said.<\/p>\n Crews contained the spread of the fire with an aggressive attack and pulled two dogs from the building, he said.<\/p>\n The American Red Cross was called to help with two adults and two children, as well as the two dogs, Mikels said, but no one was injured.<\/p>\n The cause of the fire remained under investigation, he said.<\/p>\n Laurie K.
