{"id":150106,"date":"2026-02-10T12:31:06","date_gmt":"2026-02-10T12:31:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/150106\/"},"modified":"2026-02-10T12:31:06","modified_gmt":"2026-02-10T12:31:06","slug":"utilities-proposal-tops-key-biscayne-council-agenda-tuesday-key-biscayne","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/150106\/","title":{"rendered":"Utilities proposal tops Key Biscayne Council agenda Tuesday | Key Biscayne"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There aren&#8217;t too many items on Tuesday&#8217;s night&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/granicus_production_attachments.s3.amazonaws.com\/keybiscayne\/495cc950b152c94be2a2647103a75f0e0.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Village Council agenda<\/a> but one of those could change the face of Key Biscayne for both aesthetics and resiliency.<\/p>\n<p>Item 10.A is a resolution of the Village Council to authorize the Village Manager to advance the Village-wide utility fortification program for Zones 2-8 to underground electrical and telecommunication facilities.<\/p>\n<p>The projects are to be primarily funded through the Village&#8217;s Resilient Infrastructure General Obligation Bond for approximately $66 to $81 million.
