When the Publix supermarkets under construction in Fernandina Beach and St. Johns County\u2019s SilverLeaf community open their doors, visitors will be able to enjoy some new experiences.<\/p>\n

According to a report from our news partners at the Jacksonville Daily Record<\/a>, the new stores will include Publix Pours bars with beer and wine, smoothies, acai bowls and more, plus expanded deli menus that include burrito bowls, pizza and other items.<\/p>\n

Building permits list the size of both stores at 55,701 square feet, which reflects Publix\u2019s new prototype, according to JDR.<\/p>\n

Hannah Herring, a Publix media relations manager, told JDR that the Silverleaf store is expected to open in the spring of 2026, though a firm opening date has not been announced.<\/p>\n

The Fernandina store, which is replacing a closed store at 1421 Sadler Road, will open in the Island Walk Shopping Center in the third quarter of this year, Herring told JDR. <\/p>\n
