The bad news: it\u2019s probably too late if you don\u2019t have a Valentine\u2019s Day dinner reservation already. The good news: you have the exact right amount of time to pick up fresh flowers, whether it\u2019s to spoil yourself or a loved one with something fragrant and beautiful.<\/p>\n

Keep in mind that this is behind only Mother\u2019s Day for the busiest time of year for florists, so shops will be busy, but St. Pete has a plethora of great locally-run spots with fresh flowers to brighten up any day. We\u2019ll refrain from listing out every single one (though let us know if we missed your favorite), and instead highlight a mix of the top-rated spots spread throughout the area.<\/p>\n

And a quick note before we begin: roses aren\u2019t the only good flowers for Valentine\u2019s Day! Carnations are classic, tulips are coming back in season, and nothing fills a room with sweet scents like a blooming lily. Don\u2019t be afraid to venture beyond the Valentine\u2019s standard, which may be rarer and more expensive anyway.<\/p>\n

One of our St. Pete favorites, Bloom House is packed with beautiful arrangements and house plants, as well as build-your-own bouquets with fresh flowers.<\/p>\n

Green Bench Flowers<\/a> \u2013 10 4th St N
The downtown favorite is the perfect spot for a quick grab-and-go while you\u2019re in the neighborhood, and they are conveniently located directly next door to Schakolad Chocolate Factory.<\/p>\n

A Gulfport star, this nursery is the perfect spot to find something different \u2013 tropical and even rare flowers and houseplants that will make anyone\u2019s day<\/p>\n

The family-owned gem is one of St. Pete\u2019s best spots for farm-fresh flowers, ranging from everyday pick-me-ups to full wedding day arrangements.<\/p>\n

Little Pond Farm<\/a> \u2013 Saturday Morning Market, Al Lang Stadium
On Valentine\u2019s Day proper, you can\u2019t beat a stroll through the Saturday Morning Market, where you can get fresh flowers from Little Pond Farm every week.<\/p>\n

Incredible sandwiches and glasses of wine may get the headlines, but flowers are literally in the name at this Grand Central favorite of the I Love the Burg team.<\/p>\n

The lovely local flower truck is a favorite throughout Tampa Bay, and they have tons of appearances this week, including their all-day pop-ups at the St. Pete Pier on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (10 am \u2013 6 pm).<\/p>\n

Two of our local favorites joined forces in 2025 to create the ultimate floral destination, and their new flower shop is a must-visit, Valentine\u2019s or otherwise.<\/p>\n

This Treasure Island florist offers flowers for any occasion, as well as excellent gifts to pair with a fresh and colorful arrangement. <\/p>\n
