{"id":151049,"date":"2026-02-11T02:30:07","date_gmt":"2026-02-11T02:30:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/151049\/"},"modified":"2026-02-11T02:30:07","modified_gmt":"2026-02-11T02:30:07","slug":"cava-okd-to-build-out-at-former-baymeadows-burger-barn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/151049\/","title":{"rendered":"CAVA OK\u2019d to build-out at former Baymeadows Burger Barn"},"content":{"rendered":"<p id=\"h905349-p1\" class=\"permalinkable\">Mediterranean restaurant CAVA is approved to build-out space it will lease in Baymeadows, east of Interstate 95.<\/p>\n<p id=\"h905349-p2\" class=\"permalinkable\">The city issued a permit Feb. 10 for Horizon Construction Co. of Alpharetta, Georgia, to build-out 2,600 square feet of space at 9303 Baymeadows Road, Unit 101, at a cost of $665,610.<\/p>\n<p id=\"h905349-p3\" class=\"permalinkable\">Ferris + Sloane of Spokane, Washington, is the architect.<\/p>\n<p id=\"h905349-p4\" class=\"permalinkable\">The space was vacated by Burger Barn Grill.<\/p>\n<p id=\"h905349-p5\" class=\"permalinkable\">Washington, D.C.-based CAVA has four restaurants in Northeast Florida. All are former Zo\u00ebs Kitchens that CAVA bought and converted.<\/p>\n<p id=\"h905349-p6\" class=\"permalinkable\">Its menu includes bowls, pitas, hummus, sides, kids meals, drinks and desserts.<\/p>\n<p id=\"h905349-p7\" class=\"permalinkable\">CAVA features a build-your-own line for diners to choose among bases, dips and spreads, proteins and toppings, including lamb meatballs, roasted vegetables and grilled chicken.<\/p>\n<p id=\"h905349-p8\" class=\"permalinkable\">It has restaurants in Washington, D.C., and in 26 states, including Florida, with 38 locations.<\/p>\n<p id=\"h905349-p9\" class=\"permalinkable\">CAVA Group bought Plano, Texas-based Zo\u00ebs in late 2018.<\/p>\n<p id=\"h905349-p10\" class=\"permalinkable\">BurgerBarnGrill.com lists locations in The Pavilion at Durbin Park in Saint Johns and in Tallahassee.<\/p>\n<p id=\"h905349-p11\" class=\"permalinkable\">Burger Barn Grill opened its first area location in Durbin Park.
