Cape Coral<\/a> extended their winning streak to ten on Thursday, bumping them up to 22-3. They claimed a resounding 75-40 win over the Riverdale Raiders<\/a>. The Seahawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 contests by 20 points or more this season.<\/p>\n Cape Coral had a senior duo take command as Elijah Felix<\/a> almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds and Jordan Rucker<\/a> shot 60% from the field to rack up 16 points and six boards. Felix is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he’s posted one of at least 45% in the last seven games he’s played. Another player making a difference was Heziakiah Jones<\/a>, who posted eight points and five assists.<\/p>\n Cape Coral was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they’ve now racked up at least 20 assists in three consecutive games.<\/p>\n As for Riverdale, they are on a 22-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-20. While losing is never fun, they can’t take it too hard given the team’s big disadvantage in MaxPreps’ Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 790th, while Cape Coral is ranked 192nd).<\/p>\n Riverdale’s loss came despite strong showings from Jean Beldorin<\/a> and Vaun Bess<\/a>. Beldorin earned six points, while Bess put up nine points.<\/p>\n Cape Coral has already played their next matchup, a 78-66 victory against Port Charlotte on the 5th. As for Riverdale, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 73-36 defeat against South Fort Myers on the 3rd.<\/p>\n
