Perez Miranda said the Arcadian site was selected for its visibility and built-in residential community.

What to Expect

Midori is a Japanese casual restaurant focused on high-quality ingredients and a compact, thoughtfully designed dining room. The Fort Lauderdale space will seat approximately 50 guests, including a private dining room for eight, a 12-seat patio, and a sushi counter where diners can watch chefs prepare dishes.

“My restaurants are always small because I lived 15 years in Japan,” Perez Miranda told Business Debut. “I want to do a concept that is about quality versus quantity.”

Photos courtesy of Midori.

Menu and Vision

The menu will center on fresh seafood sourced directly from Japan through a dedicated broker. Guests can expect sushi, temaki, and rice or soba bowls topped with fish and paired with sauces such as spicy miso, sesame ginger, or soy with wasabi. Bento boxes will also be available for takeout.

Beyond food, Perez Miranda said hospitality and design are core to the Midori experience. “I use three Japanese principles,” he told Business Debut. “Omotenashi, which is heartfelt hospitality; komatai, attention to detail; and sensai, the delicate balance between things.”

Ownership Background

Perez Miranda is the founder of multiple restaurant concepts across South Florida, including Yakawa in Wynwood and Ogawa in Little River, which has earned a Michelin star. He is also behind Emilina, a Cuban tasting menu restaurant in West Palm Beach.

“I’m an artist by heart,” Perez Miranda told Business Debut. “I’m an artist who was forced to be a businessman. Art is a very important component in my restaurants.”

Opening Timeline

The team is targeting a July opening, pending final city approvals.

Hours

Midori plans to operate daily from 12–3 p.m. and 6–9:30 p.m.

Follow for More

Visit their website and the 8PM Restaurant Group’s Instagram.

Fort Lauderdale Midori is planning a compact Japanese restaurant emphasizing quality, sushi counters, and expansion with a fourth…

[17
249,251,250
0":"post-151140","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-fort-lauderdale","8":"tag-fort-lauderdale","9":"tag-fort-lauderdale-headlines","10":"tag-fort-lauderdale-news
["GET
