Florida A&M men\u2019s basketball<\/a> is back on the winning side of things.<\/p>\n

To end a four-game winning streak, the Rattlers<\/a> defeated the Prairie View A&M Panthers 100-96 in a high-scoring Southwestern Athletic Conference matchup on FAMU\u2019s campus at the Al Lawson Jr. Multipurpose Center on Monday, Feb. 9.<\/p>\n

FAMU (8-13, 6-5 in SWAC) built a 56-34 halftime lead over Prairie View A&M (9-15, 4-7 in SWAC).<\/p>\n

However, the Panthers stormed back on the Rattlers and outscored them 62-44 in the second half.<\/p>\n

The Rattlers still escaped with the victory.<\/p>\n

Ten FAMU players touched the court on Monday.<\/p>\n

Seven of them scored in double figures, led by guard Jordan Chatman\u2019s 18 points, which included making all five of his three-point attempts.<\/p>\n

Kaleb Washington scored 15, Micah Octave and Tyler Shirley had 13 apiece, Miles Ndalma and Jaquan Sanders had 11 points each, and Anquan Boldin Jr. chipped in 10.<\/p>\n

Head coached by the 1993 Heisman Trophy winner Charlie Ward<\/a>, FAMU is now fifth in the SWAC standings <\/a>out of 12 teams.<\/p>\n

The Rattlers are back on the hardwood on Saturday, Feb. 14, for a Valentine\u2019s Day SWAC matchup at Jackson State, tipping off at 3:30 p.m. Eastern Time. It will follow the women\u2019s game between the schools, which begins at 1 p.m. Eastern Time.<\/p>\n

FAMU at Jackson State\u2019s SWAC doubleheader will be on HBCU GO.<\/p>\n

On Monday, the Jackson State Tigers<\/a> (7-17, 6-5 in SWAC) lost on the road at Arkansas-Pine Bluff 84-63.<\/p>\n

FAMU and Jackson State last met on Jan. 26 when the Rattlers couldn\u2019t get ahold of the SWAC\u2019s top scorer, Daeshun Ruffin, and lost 66-65 in Tallahassee<\/a>.<\/p>\n
