(WCTV) &#8211; A Tallahassee carjacking suspect was arrested in Crawfordville after the Tallahassee Police Department (TPD) requested mutual aid from the Wakulla County Sheriff\u2019s Office (WCSO).<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">WCSO received the request at about 1:18 a.m. Jan. 31 from the Tallahassee Police Department, who said the suspect was reportedly traveling south on Wakulla Springs Highway.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Wakulla deputies said Christopher Kentrell Roberts, 39, was taken to Wakulla County Jail without incident a day later.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"A Tallahassee carjacking suspect was arrested in Crawfordville after the Tallahassee Police...\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/OTKDI7OY3ZE7VCFCOY2ZD5U2QM.png\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\" \/>A Tallahassee carjacking suspect was arrested in Crawfordville after the Tallahassee Police Department (TPD) requested mutual aid from the Wakulla County Sheriff\u2019s Office (WCSO).(Wakulla County Sheriff&#8217;s Office)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">TPD told the sheriff\u2019s office that the carjacking involved a gray 2014 Acura SUV.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">WCSO located the suspect after they responded to the area of Spring Creek Highway and Wakulla Arran Road. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Deputies found the suspect at about 1:33 a.m. near Inez Lane and tried to conduct a traffic stop but he fled the scene at high speeds. An Air One was requested by TPD to search the area. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-center article-text\">More on crime in our area:<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Deputies found the stolen vehicle abandoned on Patricia Lane with the engine running and the driver\u2019s door open. The vehicle was then reportedly given back to the owner.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Footsteps were identified, so deputies established a perimeter.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">A TPD K9 unit tracked the footprints from Patricia Lane to Feli Way, but they lost track. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cLater in the investigation, Wakulla County Deputies received additional intelligence from TPD indicating Roberts was possibly located at a residence on Raker Lane in Crawfordville.
