\u2018People dying, it\u2019s horrible\u2019: Neighbors in shock over Sarasota crime scene<\/a><\/p>\nThe victim was pronounced dead a short time later.<\/p>\n
Deputies entered the house and found the bodies of two men and two women. <\/p>\n
As detectives worked at the scene, they were advised the Fort Lauderdale Police Department was investigating a double homicide believed to be related to the Sarasota shootings.<\/p>\n
\u201cBased on preliminary information, we know that the suspect had been in a previous romantic relationship with one of the victims in Fort Lauderdale,\u201d the Sarasota County Sheriff\u2019s Office news release said. <\/p>\n
\u201cThat victim was connected to the victims in Sarasota. The suspect\u2019s motivation for targeting the Sarasota victims is unknown.\u201d <\/p>\n
Fort Lauderdale police say their subject\u2019s vehicle was captured on camera after the double homicide traveling north through Punta Gorda before the Sarasota killings.<\/p>\n
Detectives worked with Amberlea HOA and neighbors, and were able to find video of the suspect\u2019s vehicle entering Amberlea at 11:01 a.m. <\/p>\n
The sound of gunfire was captured shortly after on a neighbor\u2019s Ring camera. <\/p>\n
About 37 minutes later, the male victim, who was found in the front lawn, was seen on video entering the neighborhood in his vehicle. <\/p>\n
The victim approached the front door where he was shot. No one was seen entering or leaving the residence until deputies arrived.<\/p>\n
The Sarasota County Sheriff\u2019s Office said Wednesday that all victims have been identified, and the suspect was among the deceased inside the residence.<\/p>\n
