Tampa General Hospital is continuing its mark as a “national health care innovation hub” with the grand opening of the new TGH Innovation Center.<\/p>\n

The 32,000-square-foot facility had its official opening on Wednesday morning at the Tampa Medical & Research District<\/a> in Ybor City.<\/p>\n

It is a collaborative hub for TGH\u2019s innovation team, TGH Ventures, analytics and IT teams. It is also serving as the home for Palantir<\/a>‘s Tampa headquarters, a software and data company.<\/p>\n

TGH officials say the opening of the facility cements Tampa’s “growing role as a national destination for health technology, research and innovation.”<\/p>\n

The TGH Innovation Center also features event spaces, classrooms, production studios and a \u201chospital room of the future\u201d designed to showcase the latest advances in clinical innovation.<\/p>\n

Startups, researchers and industry partners can come together and collaborate on turning concepts into visible initiatives.<\/p>\n

“This sector is all about going deep and understanding the real problems that are plaguing the healthcare industry,” CEO John Couris said.<\/p>\n
