(WCTV) &#8211; A third person has been arrested in connection to a $900,000 check fraud scheme.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Dequan Denson is the latest person arrested in a rampant check fraud conspiracy spanning from November 2022 to March 2023, according to court records.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Denson is charged with 45 counts of use of personal identification information, conspiracy to use personal identification information of more than 30 people and unlawful use of a two-way communication device.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"Denson is charged in connection to a check fraud scheme\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/QRWFFA6RI5GZJGTG72JNLRHUQY.png\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\" \/>Denson is charged in connection to a check fraud scheme(Leon County Jail)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">According to court records, Denson was involved in a scheme where he was allegedly receiving photos of checks payable to the Florida Department of Financial Services.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Court documents show Denson\u2019s phone had photos of around 45 checks involved in the scheme.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">These photos of checks were used to create fake checks that were then deposited into various people\u2019s bank accounts, according to records.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">A search of Denson\u2019s car following a traffic stop revealed a printer, a pack of blank checks and credit cards not in his name, court records show.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-center article-text\">More on crime in our area:<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Documents show the total value of all the checks involved is $905,614. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Six people are named in this scheme, however, court records show only three have been arrested.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Also charged is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wctv.tv\/2026\/01\/16\/tallahassee-man-former-state-employee-charged-connection-with-over-900k-check-fraud-scheme\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wctv.tv\/2026\/01\/16\/tallahassee-man-former-state-employee-charged-connection-with-over-900k-check-fraud-scheme\/\">Oliva Rowls, a former DFS employee.<\/a> She is facing organized scheme to defraud, conspiracy to use personal identification and unlawful use of a two-way communication device charges.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Martin Monroe is also facing charges in connection to the scheme.
