Allegiant Airlines on Thursday launched its new nonstop route to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, from Chattanooga.<\/p>\n

“We’re thrilled to see Allegiant continuing to invest in Chattanooga with new nonstop service to Fort Lauderdale,” April Cameron, CEO of the Chattanooga Airport, said in a press release.<\/p>\n

“This addition gives our customers more opportunities to reach South Florida and points beyond quickly and affordably,” she said, “including convenient access to major cruise ports, while also making Chattanooga more accessible to visitors.”<\/p>\n

The connection was one of three destinations briefly operated by Spirit Airlines. The budget carrier ultimately dropped its Chattanooga flights and connections to 10 other cities as it entered a second bankruptcy process.<\/p>\n

The airport set a new passenger record<\/a> in 2025, reporting 632,400 boardings. That’s up 14% compared to the previous high of 556,900 in 2024.<\/p>\n

“Strong partnerships with airline carriers like Allegiant mean more flights coming in and out of Chattanooga and more options for travelers,” Mayor Tim Kelly said in a press release. “Today’s inaugural flight continues the success story of one of the fastest-growing mid-sized airports in the nation.”<\/p>\n
