Fort Lauderdale United has appointed Paul Jennison as interim head coach for the remainder of the Gainbridge Super League season.<\/p>\n
Jennison, who began the season as Lauderdale\u2019s goalkeeper coach and head assistant, will take charge until the end of the USL 2025\/26 season. <\/p>\n
Originally from Middlesbrough, Jennison brings a wealth of experience to his role as head coach. He has more than 17 years of coaching experience gained across collegiate, academy, and international football.<\/p>\n
Prior to joining Fort Lauderdale, Jennison held the role of assistant coach and goalkeeper coach for the University of South Carolina men\u2019s football programme. He also coached Northwestern University\u2019s women\u2019s programme.<\/p>\n
This wealth of experience will be useful to Fort Lauderdale. The side is currently second bottom in the Gainbridge Super League standings. As the USL was established as part of an effort to bridge the gap between youth and professional football, Jennison\u2019s vast experience in the collegiate system will surely prove beneficial.<\/p>\n
Upon taking charge, Jennison said, \u201cI\u2019m excited for this tremendous opportunity. This is a special place, and we certainly have a very bright future.<\/p>\n
