Residency would be reserved for households earning up to 120 percent of the area median income, meaning a four-person household could earn no more than $148,680 annually to qualify. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.miamidade.gov\/housing\/library\/affordable-housing-resources\/income-%20mortgage-limits.pdf\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Miami-Dade\u2019s median household income<\/a> was $87,200 as of May 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Right now, BAC Funding Corp. is awaiting a decision from the Miami-Dade County Commission that would award $8.5 million low-interest loan. \u201cLow-interest\u201d is a key factor here. Based on the specifics of the loan, BAC Funding Corp. would only pay 0.5 percent in interest during the project\u2019s construction, and the loan would be repaid based on townhome sales, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bizjournals.com\/southflorida\/news\/2026\/02\/12\/miami-dade-affordable-townhouse-development.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the South Florida Business Journal<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-38015\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Screenshot-2026-02-12-at-10.04.49-PM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"652\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">In January, Florida YIMBY reported on a 56-unit townhome development in Princeton (pictured). The 29 townhomes would only occupy 1.85 acres of that land. This project isn\u2019t the only evolving townhome development in the region. In January, Florida YIMBY reported on a <a href=\"https:\/\/floridayimby.com\/2026\/01\/56-unit-townhome-community-planned-at-24000-sw-124th-avenue-in-princeton-miami-dade-county.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">56-unit development<\/a> in Princeton. That venture would offer homes spanning three bedrooms and topping out at 1,865 square feet each.
