JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2014 A woman who was riding an electric scooter Thursday night is dead after she was hit by a vehicle. The incident occurred at about 9:20 p.m. in the 6300 block of Jammes Road.<\/p>\n
She was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter striking the scooter, the vehicle then fled the scene without stopping or rendering aid,\u201d a Jacksonville police news release states.<\/p>\n
