{"id":154397,"date":"2026-02-13T14:54:08","date_gmt":"2026-02-13T14:54:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/154397\/"},"modified":"2026-02-13T14:54:08","modified_gmt":"2026-02-13T14:54:08","slug":"florida-seizes-nearly-900-illegal-vapes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/154397\/","title":{"rendered":"Florida seizes nearly 900 illegal vapes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 eJzHXc body-paragraph\">OCOEE, Fla. \u2014 State officials are cracking down on illegal vaping after one of the biggest vape busts in Florida history.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 eJzHXc body-paragraph\">Florida officials have seized nearly 900 vapes and thousands of other illegal items.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 eJzHXc body-paragraph\">The crackdown targeted retail locations in Central Florida as part of a statewide enforcement effort.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 eJzHXc body-paragraph\">State Attorney General James Uthmeier announced the results of the investigation that focused on stores in Clermont and Ocoee.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 eJzHXc body-paragraph\">Officials said they discovered illegal vaping products and various other prohibited substances.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 eJzHXc body-paragraph\">The seizure included a significant amount of Tianeptine, a substance commonly known as \u201cgas station heroin.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 eJzHXc body-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wftv.com\/mobile-apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wftv.com\/mobile-apps\">Click here<\/a> to download our free news, weather and smart TV apps.
