NIKITA RAMOS IS AT DEERFIELD BEACH ELEMENTARY, WHERE EVEN THE YOUNGEST STUDENTS ARE LEARNING THE POWER OF KINDNESS. THIS DAY SERVICE ONLY STARTED AFTER THE TRAGEDY AT MARJORY STONEMAN DOUGLAS HIGH SCHOOL, AND EIGHT YEARS LATER, EVEN THE YOUNGEST STUDENTS ARE CARRYING THAT MESSAGE FORWARD HERE AT DEERFIELD BEACH ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. THEY\u2019RE TURNING THEIR HALLWAYS INTO PATHS OF KINDNESS. AT EXACTLY 1017 THIS MORNING, TIME STOOD STILL. STUDENTS AND STAFF PAUSED FOR A MOMENT TO REFLECT ON THE 17 LIVES LOST. ON FEBRUARY 14TH, 2018. KINDNESS CAN\u2019T BE CHANGED BECAUSE THERE\u2019S NO LIMIT. AND THROUGHOUT THE SCHOOL, THAT MESSAGE IS SHOWING UP IN COLORFUL CUTOUTS AND DRAWINGS, EACH CARRYING ENCOURAGING WORDS. THEY\u2019RE BUILDING WHAT THEY CALL A PATH TO KINDNESS. A VISUAL REMINDER THAT SMALL ACTIONS CAN LEAD TO BIG CHANGE. JUST ONE MESSAGE AT JUST THE RIGHT TIME CAN CHANGE SOMEONE\u2019S ENTIRE DAY. OUTLOOK AND LIFE. DISTRICT LEADERS SAY THIS DAY IS DEDICATED TO CARING.
