TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Nine months after leaders broke ground for one of Tallahassee\u2019s newest parks, officials are sharing an update on the progress. <\/p>\n
Significant development has taken place at the southside park, which sits at the corner of Orange Avenue and Meridian Street. <\/p>\n
It includes a shaded children\u2019s play area, fitness area, and picnic pavilions. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re excited about what we have going on in this area,\u201d City of Tallahassee Mayor Pro Tem Curtis Richardson said.<\/p>\n

He said the long-term goal is to continue improving all of Tallahassee\u2019s communities and the park is one part of the bigger picture. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve made a commitment to improve the quality of life for citizens who live on the southside of Tallahassee, and this is one of those improvements – in addition to transportation, infrastructure improvements, housing,\u201d Richardson said. <\/p>\n
