(WCTV\/Gray Florida Capital Bureau) -The Florida House released its budget proposal late Thursday, proposing the state spend $113.5 billion.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The proposal represents a decrease from the current budget of $117.4 billion.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Historically, the House and Senate release their budget proposals at the same time. However, the Senate has delayed its release until next week at the earliest.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">In a memo to senators Thursday afternoon, appropriations chair Ed Hooper said they were waiting on the House and won\u2019t release their budget until next week. Hooper has said the Senate has been ready to release its proposal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The delay comes as lawmakers are more than halfway through this year\u2019s legislative session without agreement between the chambers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-center article-text\">More Florida politics:<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Last year\u2019s legislative session went 105 days after disagreements over the budget.
