Each year organizations nominate women who stand out for their dedication and commitment to service. Six are selected as Princesses to the Queen\u2019s Royal Court. The training program prepares volunteers to lead tours, support collections research and serve as ambassadors for the Museum\u2019s mission.<\/p>\n<p>The Docent Class meets every Friday from Feb. 20 through May 22. The class includes in-depth surveys of modern art history, an introduction to the museum\u2019s collections and training in presentation and public speaking.<\/p>\n<p>The Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art is located at 600 E. Sanderlin Rain Garden Workday<\/p>\n<p>Keep Pinellas Beautiful and the James B. Sanderlin Family Center are hosting a Rain Garden Workday, Saturday Feb. 28 from 9 until 10:30 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>The Sanderlin Rain Garden was transformed from a high-maintenance lawn into one of Pinellas County\u2019s longest native demonstration gardens, earning two honors in 2025: Best Garden in Transformation from the City of St. Petersburg and Best Community Landscape from the Tampa Bay WaterWise Program.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-112423 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Sanderlin-Rain-Garden-Workday-Photo-Tampa-Bay-Estuary-Program-300x213.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"213\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>Volunteers are needed to help mulch, remove invasive species, plant, prune and celebrate the launch of the center\u2019s new seed library.<\/p>\n<p>Participants should wear closed toe shoes, sun protection and protective clothing, such as long pants and sleeves. Gardening supplies and a refill water station will be provided.<\/p>\n<p>The James B. Sanderlin Family Center is located at 2335 22nd Avenue S., St. Petersburg. Beer Breakfast 2026 will be held Saturday, Feb. 28 at Mandarin Hide, 231 Central Ave., St. Petersburg from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Proceeds will benefit Hero To A Child, founded in 1989 to empower, uplift and support children and young adults impacted by abuse and neglect to realize a better future.<\/p>\n<p>The organization is seeking high-energy volunteers, to assist with setup before the event and breakdown after, work the welcome table, direct guests throughout the event, sell T-shirts and more.<\/p>\n<p>Volunteers are asked to arrive at 8:15 a.m. for setup and orientation.
