After arriving, they reportedly met the victim on the front patio of the bar, who said he was trying to &#8220;de-escalate&#8221; an argument when he was &#8220;battered&#8221; by the suspect.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Deputies say they were able to find and identify the suspect, John H. Tiedeman, 49, during a traffic stop. Following an interview, he was taken to the Clay County Jail and is now facing battery on a person 65 years of age or older.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Tiedeman is a 27-year veteran with JSO and was employed as a patrol officer.
